Massachusetts Delegation Receives Outstanding Marks on National Environmental Scorecard

Today the League of Conservation Voters released their 2020 National Environmental Scorecard. Once again, Massachusetts has one of the highest scoring House delegations. Representatives Clark, Kennedy, Lynch, McGovern, Moulton, Neal, Pressley all received perfect scores of 100%. Representatives Keating and Trahan received impressive scores of 95%. As the state affiliate of the national League of Conservation Voters, the Environmental League of Massachusetts is pleased to congratulate our Congressional delegation and thank them for their leadership on important issues of energy and the environment.

“2020 was a challenging year. The nation is facing compounding crises and Congress had a number of competing priorities. The Massachusetts Representatives supported intersectional policies that will keep the nation on the path to a just economic recovery powered by renewable energy,” said Clare Kelly, Executive Director of the Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund, the state affiliate for the national League of Conservation Voters.

Massachusetts has a legacy of leadership in bold environmental and energy policy, from our local governments, through the state legislature, and all the way to CongressCritical environmental votes in the 2020 National Environmental LCV Scorecard included investing in climate-ambitious infrastructure, the Great American Outdoors Act, crucial funding votes for EPA and renewable energy research and development, multiple votes protecting the public from harmful PFAS, and much more.

Massachusetts needs representation at the federal level that understands the importance of pushing for bold solutions and expanding what’s possible in the world of environmental policyWe are proud to have a deep bench of environmental champions with leadership coming from every level of government
