The Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund PAC has endorsed Representative Liz Malia of Boston in the election for the 11th Suffolk State Representative district, a credit to her commitment to the environment.
“Representative Malia is a leader committed to addressing the threats of climate change,” stated ELM Action Fund Executive Director Joe O’Brien. “She knows that climate change is one of the biggest threats facing Boston, and is actively working to support mitigation.”
“Representative Malia goes above and beyond,” said ELM Action Fund President Elizabeth Henry. “She is a passionate advocate for the communities she represents.”
Representative Malia believes climate change is one of the most critical issues facing Boston, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and all of humanity. She understands that with the environment under assault in Washington, DC, we must take a greater leadership role in implementing local strategies to reduce carbon emissions. She has been supportive of our priority issues including the Community Preservation Act and increasing the amount of clean power utilities are required to purchase through the Renewable Portfolio Standard. She has also been a leader on environmental justice issues.
