The ELM Action Fund Independent Expenditure Political Action Committee
The ELM AF IE PAC helps to elect environmental champions, educates voters about candidate positions on environmental issues, and works to build the political power of the environmental community. It invests financial and technical resources in campaigns around the Commonwealth. Funds from the ELM AF IE PAC pay for online digital advertising, mailings, and phone banks to target environmental voters and increase their voter turnout.
If you wish to make a donation, checks should be made payable to the ELM Action Fund IE PAC and mailed to 15 Court Square, Ste. 1000, Boston MA 02108.
Please note that per Massachusetts state campaign finance rules and IRS regulations:
- Contributions to the ELM Action Fund IE PAC may be made by individuals, corporations, LLCs, PACs and other entities in any amount.
- Contributions can only be made by a citizen of the United States or a permanent resident alien (green card holder) who is at least 18 years of age.
- The top 5 donors above $5,000 must be listed on all communications to voters.
- Contributions to the ELM AF IE PAC are NOT deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
The ELM Action Fund IE PAC is proud to have supported several successful, impactful campaigns.
- In 2021, the ELM Action Fund IE PAC raised and invested over $250K in support of Mayor Michelle Wu, elevating her climate platform.
- In 2022, the IE PAC invested over $1.25K in races across the Commonwealth – reaching over a quarter of a million voters. Our slate of ten candidates included Governor Maura Healey, Attorney General Andrea Campbell, and Senator Pavel Payano.
- In 2024, the IE PAC focused on specific key districts, turning out Hispanic voters for Senator Adam Gomez and backing newcomer, clean energy expert Representative Mark Sylvia.
